Working at Viewde

Fifty-two people across Cork, London, New York and remote positions in Germany and the Netherlands. We hire slowly, which is occasionally frustrating from the inside and is the reason support still knows every customer by name.

Four-day weekPublished salary bandsCork, London, remote EU

What we offer

Four-day week at full pay

Thirty-two hours across four days after probation, for everyone including support, which is rostered rather than closed.

Twenty-six days plus public holidays

Rising by one day a year to 31. Public holidays follow the country you work in, not the country the company was founded in.

Two days a year in a care home

Everyone does it, engineers and finance included: a real shift, shadowing someone, arranged through one of our customers. People grumble beforehand and nobody has ever asked to skip the second day.

Published salary bands

Bands are published internally, reviewed each April against an external benchmark, and there is no individual negotiation on the starting figure. The band is in the advert.

Language learning paid for

German and Dutch tuition during working hours for anyone customer-facing. About half the Cork office is taking something.

On-call is paid and shared

€220 per week on call plus time back in lieu for any call after midnight. Everyone technical takes a turn, founders included.

How hiring works

1. Send a CVTo careers@viewde.com. A short covering note is welcome, one page maximum, read by a person within three working days.
2. Half-hour callWith the hiring manager. The salary band is confirmed at the start rather than the end.
3. Paid exerciseTwo to three hours, paid at €300, on a real problem from our backlog. No weekend-consuming take-home projects.
4. ConversationNinety minutes with two colleagues, one from outside your team. You interview us for the last half hour.
5. DecisionWithin two working days, with feedback either way whether or not you ask for it.
LanguageInterviews in English by default; German or Dutch on request for roles in those markets.
AdjustmentsTell us what you need at any stage. Questions can be sent in advance as a matter of course.

We sponsor Irish employment permits for roles based in Cork where the salary threshold is met, and we do not work with recruitment agencies.
